Berisha-Bardhi-Basha/ Mediu: I tried to keep my tongue between my teeth

The chairman of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, has criticized the language used by Bardhi and Berisha, describing them as unacceptable.

The media said in an interview that when he left the mandate of the deputy, he left it just so he wouldn't look like a traitor, and that's why he communicated with Basha at that time.

But according to him, the finger cannot be pointed only at Basha.

Regarding the language used in the parliament, he said that he "tried to keep my tongue between my teeth in terms of ethics".

"In my political position, I have tried to keep my tongue between my teeth in terms of ethics. This has been my standard. Parliament has become a worthless thing also because of the language used. The debates between Bardhi and Berisha have been unacceptable. Personal report has less value in politics than what is believed. I was probably one of the only ones who had a strong debate with Basha regarding the burning of mandates. I refused, but I left the mandate just so I wouldn't look like a traitor. I cannot point the finger only at Basha. He had the biggest responsibility as the president, but the opposition circle also went after Basha. We must have a constitutional parliamentary republic a state of law."

He thinks that despite the disagreements so far, Basha should have been part of the meeting called by Bardhi.

"Basha made a mistake by not coming to the table called by Bardhi. The idea is that to sit together we had to sit with each other", he said./ CNA
